Family Day Long Weekend Craft Time

Having a fabulous Family Day long weekend  Had time this weekend to put together a few cards and spending time in the craft room with the youngest little lady is always a fabulous time.

Had a great dinner at Sorrentino's with great company for our Valentines dinner.  First time to Sorrentino's and have to say I was pretty impressed.

Spent the rest of our weekend crafting some cards and the little miss was painting and coloring. Had a great and wonderful bonding time.

Card One:

Loving my new Hardwood clear mount stamp that I just ordered.  I am sure to use the one for many future cards and scrapbook projects.

Card Two:

Just picked up the Butterflies Thinlits die for my Big Shot.  I love this butterfly thinlits and the wood grain textured impression folder. However had a heck of a time trying to get this to work properly thank goodness for YouTube and the fabulous help of Patty's Stamping Spot Her techniques worked wonderful.  Here is the Sandwich for thinlits (works brilliantly) :

Clear Plate
Thinlits
Wax Paper / Parchment Paper
Card stock
Dryer Sheet
Clear Plate
Magnetic Platform

Card Three:

Learned another little trick off YouTube with the Textured plate.  Here is the sandwich for using the textured plates (have to use some muscle to run this through the big shot. Not to worry the silicon rubber mat will slide out):

Clear Plate
Silicon Rubber
Card stock
Textured Plate
Top of Platform

Them are just a few I made this weekend and can't wait to send out for special birthday's for our family and friends.
Today is Family day and will be going to the Good Old Hockey Game.  Let's Go OilKings! Let's Go!

Enjoy your family day fun today and everyday.
